Our Volunteers Make A World of Difference…
Parentis Health Foundation encourages adults 50 and over to support your community and Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley’s club kids: Starting this fall, Parentis Health Foundation is proud to launch Experience Corps OC literacy tutoring support to children in kindergarten through third grade in Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley’s three sites located in San Juan Capistrano, Aliso Viejo, and Rancho Santa Margarita.
Change lives: You will make a lasting difference for children and schools by building critical literacy skills.
Enrich Lives: Your experience, calming presence and mentoring skills will provide what many of these children may be missing in their lives: someone to listen, care, offer encouragement, serve as a role model… and celebrate success together.
We provide peer support, mentoring, coaching and ongoing training to help you be successful. You provide your experience!

About the Organization
Parentis Health Foundation of Laguna Hills Joins Forces with AARP Foundation Experience Corps to Positively Enrich the Lives of Older Adults and Youth in Orange County. Older adults who volunteer in the Experience Corps program for a significant number of hours each week reap important physical health, brain health, and community engagement outcomes as a result of their participation. National studies indicate that Experience Corps is a strong model for health promotion and community engagement in older adults. Our volunteers are the centerpiece of the Experience Corps program. They are truly local heroes, women and men devoting a minimum of 5 hours each week for an entire school year to assist struggling students in their community. They come with a wealth of different work and life experiences. Many are longtime residents who want to give back, make a meaningful difference in their cities, towns, neighborhoods and have education backgrounds ranging from High School to advanced degrees. Experience Corps volunteers also benefit from their engagement with the program through increased socialization with peers, they are happier and healthier than adults who do not choose to volunteer.
