About the Organization

Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County's mission is to end hunger in Orange County. As the leading hunger relief agency in Orange County, we work with manufacturers, distributors, retailers, local farmers, the community and food drives to aquire food. There are nearly 400,000 people at risk of hunger every month in Orange County. More than half are children or seniors. We serve about 240,000 people, and move about 1.5 million pounds of food through our warehouse a month. Volunteerism makes up about 55% of our workforce. We are glad to take volunteers in our warehouse Tuesday-Saturday to help sort and label many of our donated food products, produce, dry goods, and much more.
